Our Goal is
Different.
On Purpose!
Bible Baptist Christian School was founded in 1980 with the goal
of glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ and preparing children and teenagers for
a life of service to God, country, and others. We believe Christian
education should be different; therefore, we offer academic excellence, fine
arts, and athletics in a well-disciplined, spiritual atmosphere. |
Our Faculty
is Different.
On Purpose!
Mr. Timothy R. Lee, the school administrator, has over 30 years
experience in Christian School education and holds a Masters Degree in
Christian School Administration.
Our teachers are qualified and caring. All
BBCS teachers are required to hold college degrees and maintain
certification. Each teacher is a faithful member of BBC. |
Our Students
are Different.
On Purpose!
From K-4 through 12th grade, our students are challenged to find
the will of God and do it! We encourage graduates to attend Christian
colleges. Graduates can earn academic and Christian leadership scholarships.

SCHOOL CELEBRATES
Adopt-a-Cop Day |
|

|

Just as
Clayton County Police Lt. Craig Hammer finished telling students at
Bible Baptist Christian School a little about himself and opened the
floor for questions, one student asked what many others likely wanted to
know. “Have you ever shot somebody?” the student asked. “No, and I thank
God for that,” said Hammer. “I hope I never do.” Hammer, 42, was one of
three officers honored by the students during its observance of
Adopt-A-Cop Day.
Also honored during the event, were 44-year-old Clayton County Officer
Joe Eckler and Henry County Police Officer Johnny Mathis, 23. Eckler’s
two daughters — Mackenzie, 8, and Mackayla, 7 — presented their father
with a certificate of appreciation during the assembly. Eckler called
the recognition “a humbling experience.” “I think any time we can get
around children in an environment like this, nothing but good can come
from it,” he said. Hammer, who has been in law enforcement for 22 years,
told the students that being a police officer was all he wanted to do
from the time he was a child. He said being recognized Wednesday gave
him “new energy.” “It shows that people still care about the police,” he
said. Like Hammer, Mathis said he grew up with a respect for those in
law enforcement from the time his father, Lt. John Mathis, was an
officer in the Atlanta Police Department. |
|
|
“It’s more of a passion job than a paying
job,” said Mathis, who added that he would be in law enforcement “as long as
the Lord allows me.” The event culminated with the students launching blue
balloons into the sky in honor of police officers. School administrator Tim
Lee said school officials decided to get involved with National Police Week,
which honors police, as part of the
Police Benevolent Foundation’s
Operation Blue. BBCS chose to honor the three men, in
part, because of their close ties to the school. Eckler’s daughters attend
the school, as does Hammer’s 10-year-old son, Austin. Mathis graduated from
Bible Baptist Christian in 2002. |

SOFTBALL TEAM
Wins Title |

2007
Champs! |
|
I could not have asked for a better team to
coach my first year. They all were encouraging and supportive. I'm so
thankful for the infield players for being the backbone and the leaders
of the team, and for winning the mental battle during our last
championship game. I'm also thankful for the outfield, for their
patience, and for being willing to learn how to improve their game by
asking questions. A huge thank you to Mrs. Broere for all of her help
this season, for coaching and covering practices while I was away, for
being my “voice”, and for her advice and listening ear. Thanks to Coach
Rossiter for his time and for answering my many questions. The “Batting
Title” this season was given to the player who has the highest batting
average, Stephanie Wright. |
Stephanie hit two
homeruns for us in the championship game, one of which included a grand
slam! The “Gold Glove,” went to a player who moved quickly to the ball
and would not let them get past her, Melo Mullis. Melo was
also a responsible and encouraging leader, and she did a great job as the
cut off person. The "Christian Character Award" was given to a young
lady who possessed a Christ like spirit on and off the field, Kymberly
Murray. Kymberly kept an upbeat attitude throughout the whole season no
matter what the circumstances and worked hard to keep her teammates
encouraged as well. An example of this is she was nicknamed “butter” at
the beginning of the season. Being the upbeat person she is, she turned
the nickname around saying, “they call me butter because I’m on a
roll.” |
Thanks again girls for a fun season. We will miss you, seniors, and I
pray that you will always seek God first for every decision you make.
~ Coach Stowe
