Gretchen has a Master’s Degree in Education and has completed 4 years of counseling training. She uses her training to minister to women through teaching Bible studies, speaking at ladies' retreats, and authoring booklets giving biblical counsel on the husband/wife relationship and experiencing the loss of a child. 

What place does prayer have in your life? As you reflect on your day in the evening, was prayer a vital part of your day? The busy lives we lead often keep us from making prayer a priority. John Bunyan once said, “You can do more than pray, after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.” Let’s take time to reflect on our prayer lives and seek to make prayer the priority it should be.

A drama ministry has no limits! It is for the young and old, male and female, new and seasoned Christians. Ministering through drama is not a new concept, for those in biblical times and the early church used drama as a tool for worship. Find out how YOU can bless your church through drama. In this workshop we will look at 3 important areas that enable us to have a God-centered marriage: helping our husbands successfully meet their God-given responsibilities; understanding the Lord’s command that brings harmony and peace to our homes; completing the mission that honors our Father each and everyday.

The pastor’s wife stands with her husband as he ministers God’s Word and leads the church. She is asked to volunteer, provide a shoulder to cry on, be friendly and smile, be the perfect wife and mother, and be available for whatever is asked of her. Can anyone really fulfill this demanding role? Does the Bible give the qualifications for the pastor’s wife? What is her job description? We will consider ways that women in the church can help and be a blessing to the pastor’s wife.

The Proverbs 31 woman is our ideal example of a truly beautiful woman. But we often try to imitate her outward accomplishments when God wants us to develop the inward godly qualities she demonstrates. We will look at her heart and fear of the Lord to help us be women who are beautiful in God’s eyes.

Daily life can find us in a spinning wheel of activity and stress, pressing us into the crowd. The woman with the issue of blood would not accept being just one of the crowd. She realized her need for a personal touch from Christ and pushed her way through to “just touch the hem of His garment.” When was the last time you sought His life-changing touch? 

I Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches us to glorify God in our body. We generally recognize our need for spiritual health, yet many of us leave our physical health to the world’s appetites. With the convenience of processed and fast food coupled with a hectic lifestyle, we can easily fall into the mindset of “living to eat” instead of “eating to live.” Learn what simple changes in your diet will provide long-term benefits to your health.

Life for a woman is very BUSY, especially if you are a wife, mother, daughter, and employee. Therefore, the ladies of the church need to come together to support one another. In this workshop we will look at the heart and soul of a Ladies' Ministry as we discuss the Biblical Goals, Budgeted Requirements, Balanced Organizational Structure, and Beneficial [yet exciting] Programs and Activities.
