A Church
with Purpose |
|
|
Bible Baptist Church was founded
fifty years ago on Lakewood Avenue in Atlanta. Since 1957 we have
endeavored to build our ministry upon Christ and His Word. My
father-in-law, Norman Pyle, faithfully pastored this church from 1959
until early 2003. My wife Deborah and I consider it a privilege to
follow Pastor and Mrs. Pyle in the work of the Lord here at Bible
Baptist.
|
|
|
This church is full of folks who love the Lord and love other people!
The purpose of the ministry at BBC is to exalt the Lord, edify believers,
and evangelize the lost. That’s why we use only traditional, Christ-honoring music and build all of
our programs around the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. The Bible
says, "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it."
(Psalm 127:1) I hope you will consider the need you and your family have to
know Christ as your personal Savior and to be a constructive part of a
Bible-believing church.

Life’s Crucial Question:
"Are you 100% sure that all of your sins (past, present, and future) are forgiven so that if you were to die today or ten years from now you would be immediately with Jesus Christ for all
eternity?"
Not that sure?
If you have questions about your eternal destiny, click on the ETERNITY
link above to view a brief presentation of the Gospel and find out how
to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior today!

"... I
have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
But let
every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation
can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." |

FRONTLINE CLUBS
for Children |
|
|
|
|
FrontLine Clubs is a discipleship program designed to train
children to love and live the Bible. The program teaches basic
Biblical theology, starting with the attributes of God and offers
graded material for age 3 through sixth grade. All clubs study
age-appropriate variations of the same basic theme each week.
FrontLine Clubs meet once a week, on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. during
the school year. Meeting time includes songs, Journal time, a Bible story,
games, and crafts. Clubbers use a take-home journal workbook of
Bible memory passages and five daily activity pages per week. The
children go through three
journals per
year, each containing ten weeks of material.
|
The weekly Bible
memory coordinates with the theme of each week's lesson. It consists
of passages rather than scattered verses. All age groups memorize
from the same passage each week. Young children learn just a phrase
or short verse of the passage. Older children memorize more of the
passage, and the sixth graders learn the entire passage of five or
six verses. Every two years the same passages are re-visited, aiding
life-time retention of the memorized verses. The FrontLine Family
Guide informs parents what each of their children are
learning in FrontLine Clubs each week.
|
It also provides families with suggestions for songs, Scripture
reading, and discussion questions that reinforce what is being
taught in the Clubs.

Thanks to all who joined our crew on the
USS Truth for Vacation Bible School as we learned to battle for
truth!
We learned fun new songs and games, and
learned more about God and the Bible! We spent time with friends,
made new friends, and ate yummy snacks. We enjoyed the special
skits, and Mr. Lee's story!
Thanks to the many counselors and
workers who made everything run smoothly. |
Moms,
enjoyed a special program designed just for them called "Mornings
for Moms"! While the kids sailed the high seas, moms enjoyed new
decorations, foods, ideas, and special take-home gifts each day.
Plus they were challenged with Bible teaching on the home life and
practical workshops such as "Ask-a-Nurse." Thanks to all the moms
who participated and those who were a part of the "Mornings for
Moms" program. |
We look
forward to seeing you all again next year for another awesome
Vacation Bible School!
